2v2 Secrets from an RLCS Pro

What you need to know

Hey guys

I have some bad news. You’re probably playing ranked 2v2 wrong…

Let me explain

Recently, one of the coaches in the Grand Champ Bootcamp Unlimited held a private event on mastering 2v2

And although I can’t tell you EVERYTHING FreaKii covered, we got such good feedback, I felt like I had to share a couple tips from the event:

  1. Fixed positioning: Players may hear terms like “rotate back post” and play too strictly with this rotation. In 2v2, plays can evolve fast. So never tunnel vision just one position when rotating and stay ready for whatever the play evolves to

  2. Force for your teammate: In defense, getting attackers off the ball is important to make the life of your teammate behind you easier. Delaying challenges and taking too long leads to double commits on defense.

Put simply, don’t play 2v2 like 3s or 1s

Play like it’s 1v1, you’ll likely be playing too passive (not forcing for your teammate)

Play like it’s 3v3, you may be missing where you’re really needed on the field for your teammate

For some, tips like these may be enough to reach the next rank. While others may need the help of someone with the experience they lack…

If you’re looking for private coaching with FreaKii (or any of our other RLCS coaches), exclusive community, events and more,

Hope to see you in there

Your coach,

Luke
